FIND OUT MOREAt LORDS we believe that young children need the chance to learn through exploration, play and by being curious. We want our students to be engaged and interested in what they are learning and provide opportunities where they can use hands- on manipulative resources and real-world experiences to deepen their understanding of key concepts. Movement and brain breaks are used in Prep to maintain focus and attention for students of this age.
See MoreIn the Prep year we have a strong focus on Literacy and Numeracy and believe that developing these foundational skills will set our young people up for their future years of schooling, and beyond. We use several programs to develop these foundational skills.
See MoreIn Prep at LORDS the students will participate in a Perceptual Motor Program as a strategy to assist the development of children’s gross motor skills.
See MoreEach semester the students will be engaging in a unit of work where they will be given the opportunity to work on a project over an extended period that engages them in solving a real-world problem or answering a complex question (often through a service learning lens)
