DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT
As our Year 12 students approach the end of their schooling journey, it’s natural for them to feel a mix of emotions: excitement, relief, and perhaps a bit of uncertainty. These final weeks are a significant milestone, but they are also just the beginning of the paths that will unfold before them.
In Ecclesiastes 3:1, we are reminded, “There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens.” Our young people are stepping from one season into another, and with that transition comes the need for trust—trust in God’s plan for their lives.
As they prepare for their exams, we remember that their worth is not determined by a grade or a number. We are all fearfully and wonderfully made in God’s image. The work they’ve done up to now is important, and God calls us to give our best in everything we do (Colossians 3:23), but His love for us is not based on achievement. He goes before us, walks beside us, and carries everyone (staff, students, and families) through these final days of school.
Be courageous, be focused, and know that you are equipped for this moment. Take a deep breath and step into your exams with faith and trust that God is guiding you through.
Loving God,
We give thanks for the journey that has brought our Year 12 students to this moment. We thank You for the dedication, effort, and growth they’ve experienced during their time at school. As they face their final classes and prepare for their exams, grant them clarity of mind, peace in their hearts, and the courage to trust in the gifts You’ve given them.
Help them to find strength in moments of doubt and to approach each challenge with confidence. May they remember that their worth is found in You, not in the results they achieve. Be with them in the coming weeks—guide their studies, calm their fears, and remind them that they are never alone.
Bless the teachers, parents, and caregivers who have supported them along the way, and may Your hand of blessing be upon all our students as they finish strong. In Your name, we pray,
Amen.
